Christmas Wish

Its that time of year when we get together with family and we exchange our gifts and enjoy the company of loved ones. It should not be forgotten that we are also celebrating the birth of our savior, the man who gave up everything so that our souls can be free.

I am setting here this cold day in December remembering my many Christmas past's and I cannot recall a time that I felt so sad and alone. This will be my first Christmas without my mother and sister to share the time with. All the Christmas traditions that once were are all but gone, this year will be the first of many new ones to come that will be celebrated much differently. I have my own daughters and grand daughter to start new traditions with and for some reason that prospect seems so very difficult. I just want to remind myself that its not about the presents or the holiday its about the love for each other as we celebrate the real reason we celebrate this special day. Without Christ there would be no life to live for and to be thankful for.

So as I embark on this new journey I will give praise to the real meaning of Christmas and try and move forward without all the sadness and heartache. I will also send a wish out that everyone can stop for just a moment and remember the real reason for the season. God Bless and Merry Christmas
